COMMUNITY BASE TOURISM TOUR OF THE ISLAND OF COTIJUBA 

03, 04 and 05 August 2018

Welcome to Brazil, to Pará, to Belém and to this little piece of Amazon called the island of Cotijuba

This island is an insular part of Belém, but has not yet absorbed the nefarious progress of the metropolises. On the island you see simple people lush beaches and can experience the riverside way of living. To know the collective work of mmib a female organization that contributes to the empowerment of the women of the islands of Belém and to make the itinerary knowledge and tastes, or trails and contemplation.

PROGRAMMING

1º DAY 03/08

FRIDAY

08: 00h - meeting in Icoarací (MAIN PORT)

09: 00h - Crossing from Icoarací to Cotijuba

09: 45h - Arrival at Antônio Tavernard Waterway Terminal and transfer of "Bondinho" (Train) to the headquarters of the Belém Islands Women's Movement - Mmib

10:30 am - Arrival at Mmib with regional snack, not included in the itinerary

10: 00h - Presentation of the history and community work developed by Mmib in the Belem Islands

12: 00h - Lunch with option of regional dishes

14: 00h - Departure of cable car to the Pousadas in the community of Vai quem que - Participants will be staying at Hostel Tapejara Sol e Lua and Hostel Crescent.

16: 00h - Afternoon free / beach bath and regional snack served to participants

7:00 p.m. - Dinner

2º DAY 04/08

SATURDAY

 

07: 00h to 08: 00h - Breakfast served in the inns

09: 00h - Departure to the Patrimonial Route of Visitation in the communities of Fazendinha and Poção / island of Cotijuba - with a visit to the ruins of Fazendinha mill of 1874, to the ceramic workshop of Mrs. Antônia Mesquita among others.

12: 00h - Lunch

14: 00h - Walk on the beach with the support of a local TBC conductor, for landscape recognition and photographs

16: 30h - Regional snack served to the script participants

19: 00h - Dinner / Surprise

3º DAY 05/08

SUNDAY

 

07:00 to 08:00 - Breakfast

09: 00h - Visit to the production of Priprioca of the community supported by Natura and House of Flour for the production process of Cassava flour

11:30 a.m. - Lunch

13: 00h - Farewell of the group in the Mmib / Exchange of memories

13: 30h - Departure to the Trapiche

14: 00h - Boat trip from Cotijuba to Icoarací / 14: 50h - Arrival at Icoarací - End of services.

GUIDANCE

  1. Bring repellent;

  2. During the walks is recommended the use of closed shoe, preferably boots the tennis shoes;

  3. Bringing a hat;

  4. On hiking wear long trousers, if possible knit pants or leg pants; Take sunscreen;

  5. Do not throw garbage along the way;

  6. Do not carry sound equipment or listen to music on portable devices, therefore, the sound of nature should be contemplated;

  7. It is not allowed to carry alcohol because it will be sold separately outside the package in community establishments.

  • 3 days and two nights R$ 707.00 per person or U$ 180.00;

  • 2 days and one night:  R$470.00 per person or U$ 121.00;

  • Method of payment: bank deposit - advance, after contact and registration of the Mmibotijuba.
